John | What Jesus Does With Failure | May 17

SUNDAY SERMONs

Sermon by Michael Bailey on May 17, 2026.

Key scripture: John 18:15-27

We tend to believe our failures define us, but John 18 shows us a faithful Jesus who remains steady where Peter collapses — and who lovingly restores the people who let Him down.

John | More than a Victim | May 3

SUNDAY SERMONs

Sermon by Michael Bailey on May 3, 2026.

Key scripture: John 18:1-14

In John 18:1–14, John goes out of his way to show us that Jesus was not a passive victim swept away by forces beyond his control — he was a sovereign Savior who advanced toward his own arrest with full knowledge, full authority, and full intention. Because the cross was something Jesus moved toward on purpose, we can trust his sovereignty in our own darkness, rest in the personal nature of his sacrifice, and worship rather than pity him.

John | Kept, Sanctified & Sent | April 19

SUNDAY SERMONs

Sermon by Michael Bailey on April 19, 2026.

Key scripture: John 17:6-19

In John 17:6–19, Jesus prays for His followers to navigate a confusing world by being kept, sanctified, and sent. Rather than removing them from the world, He asks the Father to guard them, shape them through His truth, and send them on mission with purpose and confidence. This sermon reminds believers that their identity is secure in Christ—and from that security, they are empowered to live distinctly and missionally where they are.

John | Your Sorrow Will Turn to Joy | March 29

SUNDAY sermon

Sermon by Brandon Clements on March 29, 2026.

John | A Life Lit Up by The Spirit | March 22

SUNDAY sermon

Sermon by Andrew Flowers on March 22, 2026.

Key scripture: John 16:5-15

Jesus promised His disciples that the Holy Spirit would not only be with them but would actively work in their lives. In John 16:5-15, Jesus spells out the Spirit's job description — convicting the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, guiding believers into truth, and ultimately pointing us to the glory of Christ. Through three pictures of light, we see a Spirit who diagnoses our deepest problem, lights the path forward, and keeps our eyes fixed on the only One who can save.

SUNDAY sermon

Sermon by Michael Bailey on March 15, 2026.

Key scripture: John 15:18-27

In John 15:18–27, Jesus prepares his disciples for the reality that faithfulness to him will sometimes create tension with the world around them. Yet he also reminds them that they are not alone: the Holy Spirit empowers believers to stand firm and bear witness to Christ with courage and love.

John | The Truth about Change | March 8

SUNDAY sermon

Sermon by Michael Bailey on March 8, 2026.

Key scripture: John 15:1-11

In John 15, through the image of the vine and the branches, Jesus reveals where real, lasting change actually comes from. If you’ve ever felt stuck, weary, or resigned in your spiritual growth, he reminds us that fruit isn’t produced by striving harder—but by abiding deeper. When we stay connected to Christ, trust the Father’s pruning, and walk in obedient faith, He produces the kind of transformation we could never manufacture on our own.

John | The Escalation | November 23

SUNDAY sermon

Sermon by Michael Bailey on November 30, 2025.

Key scripture: John 11:45-12:11

The raising of Lazarus set in motion the chain of events that would escalate to Jesus’ crucifixion. In John 11:45-12:11, John shows us the responses to Jesus become increasingly polarized. The Pharisees see him as a threat and plot to kill him. Mary sees him as worthy of worship and anoints him with costly perfume. The same tension exists for us. Will see respond to Jesus as a threat to what we hold dear, or worthy of it all?
